Unwavered

“No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised.

- Romans 4:20-21

Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise.

He never doubted that God would indeed make him the father of many nations, and that the entire world would be blessed through his family. Abraham’s life, like any of ours, is marked by mistakes, failures, and sin. But by God’s grace, Abraham’s life was also marked with wisdom, goodness, and faith – his consistent trust in God.

It was through the obstacles he faced, that his faith was tested. He didn’t rely on his own resources or his own strength but depended on God to come through for him. These moments in his life were not only markers of great faith but were pivotal in helping his faith grow. His spiritual muscles were exercised and caused him to draw near to God and to walk in obedience…waiting for God to fulfill His word.

Abraham knew nothing was too hard for God.

Do we believe that same truth?

Do we believe that God can handle our circumstance?

The details in our lives that we’re faced with?

The unknowns?

Are we trusting Him while we’re waiting for Him to do what He’s promised that He’ll do for us?

Can we stand unwavered?

As followers of Jesus, we’ve been called to be people who believe God at His word.

Holding tight to the faith that He will do as He’s said… even when it seems impossible.

“With God all things are possible.” – Matthew 19:26

Let’s take Him at His Word.

He is Faithful.

Nothing is too hard for Him.

Stand… Unwavered.

And while sometimes it feels like we aren’t strong enough to get our wobbling legs to move on our own. God’s grace sends people to surround us, reach out their hands and help us stand.

Together Unwaverd.
