“As God’s partners, we beg you not to accept this marvelous gift of God’s kindness and then ignore it. For God says,
“At just the right time, I heard you.
On the day of salvation, I helped you.”
Indeed, the ‘right time’ is now. Today is the day of salvation.” – 2Corinthians 6:1-2 (NLT)
God’s gift of His son dying on the cross for the payment of our sins, is a kindness and love that cost far too high a price for us ever to ignore it. And yet in our self-focused culture that we live in, even in our Christian circles, we can fall so easily to believe that God is working for us… taking advantage of His gift of Grace.
It’s through God’s kindness that He would allow us to partner with Him. It blows my mind to think that He chose us! We are His plan to reach our families, our friends, our city, our nation, and the world!
We’re it!
When we recognize the weight of that… we should be stirred up by His Spirit in us to not receive His grace in vain. Our lives are not our own. We’ve been bought at a price (ref. 1 Cor. 6:20). And with that, comes responsibility that is calling us to share the good news of His love… calling us to live for Him. Surrendered to His ways, and not our own. For God did not intend for us to be about our own plans, but rescued us from our demise… should our hearts not be in-tuned to His in rescuing all others?
The time is now.
Let’s be women who have our hearts wide open to follow where the Holy Spirit is leading us. Let’s be women who see the opportunities in front of us. Who take the time, even when it’s not in our plans, to stay a little longer - listening to those who need to know that they’re heard by a God who loves them dearly. Let’s be women who stop to hug. Turn to help. Are quick to pray. Speak in truth. Love audaciously.
There’s a world full of people who need Jesus… and He chose us to help point them to Him. What can we do today to show the marvelous gift we’ve received to others? Who can we embrace with love and truth today?
