“… God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.” – Ecclesiastes 3:11
God’s hand is in every part of creation. He’s designed each one of us intricately, fashioned us to be born in a specific time and generation. He makes no errors in His timing. Not one person is beyond the scope of Him being able to turn what the enemy meant for evil and use it for good. God works all things together for good – in His timing. The right time.
God has put something in us that seems to long for more than what we can get in this life. A desire for true fulfillment and lasting value. It’s the purpose of life that we’re longing for – the deep-rooted longing for eternity. While we may not be able to see or understand how He’s going to redeem it all… and while we don’t have eyes to view how the end will all wrap up, there’s a question that hangs in the balance:
Will we trust what God is doing despite what we see?
Let’s face it – it’s so hard at times to look beyond what we see right in front of us. To hold onto the peace of knowing that God is in control when it feels as though we’re in a whirlwind of chaos. So much of this walk of following Jesus seems as though we journey through, blind to where we’re going, what’s going to happen when we get there, and how all the details will piece together. While we may be blind to the plan, we’re never blind from knowing the One who holds everything together. He knows the complexities of the span of history through until eternity, and He invites us to trust Him with each day that He gives us…. even when things don’t pan out on our desired timetable and in our preferred way.
We can be sure of this – right now is always the perfect time to trust Him. Let’s give God our full confidence today. Trust Him with all the details.
