“Let us acknowledge the Lord; let us press on to acknowledge Him.
As surely as the sun rises, He will appear;
He will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.”
– Hosea 6:3
Each morning reflects the glory of God’s goodness. With the promise of the rising sun, we behold a great reminder of the hope that we have in Jesus. That He will one day return and blot out all darkness once and for all. But more than that, each new sunrise is a reminder that He is present with us. Wherever we go, He is there. He doesn’t hide from us, but invites us to be replenished by His presence, love, and Truth. He speaks to us through His Spirit and Word. Darkness can never dispel His Light from shining, and from His promise to wake us up again with the dawn of a new day.
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.” – John 1:5 (NLT)
We can always have hope in Jesus. His light allows us to be grateful in circumstances that are hard. His light brings comfort in the darkness. Hope in the midst of the unknown. He is the Light that directs our path as we trust Him through the unchartered details of what’s next. It’s His light that clears our clouded vision.
May today be a reminder, that as surely as the sun rises each day, our God is Faithful to be present with us, to love us where we’re at, and to lead us into the best that He has planned for us. So let’s acknowledge Him for Who He is, and press in to Him, as the One who fulfills the promise, that as surely as the sun will rise, He’ll come to us.
