“If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them wanders away, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others on the hills and go out to search for the one that is lost? “ – Matthew 18:12
What a beautiful parable about a Shepherd who searched until He found the lost sheep!
Can you imagine the dedication and relentless pursuit that this would take?
It’s crazy how much our Father in Heaven loves each of us, that He sent His only Son for us. The dedication and relentless pursuit that took Jesus to the cross, so that we could find our way back to the Father.
What love!
What love could do this?
Only a Holy Love.
Set apart from any other kind of love.
For Jesus followers, there was a time that each of us were the one. The lost one. When our souls were searching for a home that we longed to be connected to but could never find on our own. What a magnificent transformation for our souls to find what was previously lost. To be made whole. To find true love.
Sisters, you are dearly loved by God. Doesn’t it bring your heart so much joy to know that He would leave everything else – thinking of you – making a way for YOU to find peace. To find rest. To find love. To find home.
May this change our posture today…to be a more thankful/gracious one.
And may this cause us such joy that we just have to share it with someone…someone who needs to be reminded…or someone who needs to hear it for the first time.
