The Great Reversal

Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.” – John 8:12

Jesus brought light into the world – a hope that is continually calling people to step out of the darkness and to live in freedom. It’s the great reversal leading all the way back to the Garden of Eden, that restores us into right relationship with God. The Light that can never be extinguished.

While satan wants us chained to our wrong-doings and the entrapments he’d love to keep us in, our past does not have to define our future. Jesus is the way to new life. He empowers us through His Spirit in us, to remove the chains of our past, to leave a life of shame and shadow, and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit to the abundant life He has waiting for us.

Leaving our bondage to sin in the past, walking to our future in freedom. (Galatians 5:1)

Removing the coat of shame that we’ve been wearing and putting on the garments of righteousness and dignity that God has for us. (Ephesians 6:14)

Where we’ve been bound to fear and anxiety, God gives us a spirit of power, love and a sound mind. (1 Timothy 1:7)

Where our past held us to death, eternal life now is sealed over our future. (1 Corinthians 15:22)

We need to remember that what’s happened in the past no longer holds claim over us. And what may be happening in the present, isn’t a permanent condition that we have to live in. Freedom is at our disposal.

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” – Galatians 5:1

Let’s live in the Light. Letting go of everything else that is in the way. Let’s walk with heads held high in the Light of Jesus’ love and in His holy name. The great reversal is at hand!
