Recounting His Faithfulness

“I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart;

I will recount all your wonderful deeds.

I will be glad and exult in you;

I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.” – Psalm 9:1-2 (ESV)

I close my eyes in the quiet and am overwhelmed by the presence of God working in and through me. Remembering when He picked me up from the pit of the consequences of my own choices. When He took the most broken parts of me and bound them with His Love and whispered that He’d never leave me alone. When He wrapped me in His Truth, and gently chiselled away the barriers that were holding me back from knowing Him more intimately. Then the times the rod of His correction stung with such pain that it felt as though I wouldn’t be able to move from that place, but in His kindness, He showed me how to take steps forward once again.

In every season His fingerprints have left the distinct markings of His guidance and His comfort. Marked by the beauty of His grace, the power of His name, the hope of a future, and Truth that stands the test of time. This is the One Who is called Faithful and True. The One Who bore our sins and conquered death. When we are unfaithful, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Who He is. (ref. 2 Timothy 2:13)

So today, I reflect on His wonderous deeds.

The goodness of His patience.

His kindness leading to repentance.

The fulfillment of His spoken promises.

The joy of His presence.

The power of the Holy Scriptures.

Would you join me today, in praising Him for all He’s done in our lives?

Let’s be women who make it a practice to recount His faithfulness. The evidence of Who He is and what He’s done for us, is all around us – our story, as His children, is beautifully intertwined with His redemptive story of love. He is Faithful to complete in us all that He said He would.
