We each have this all-consuming, beautiful, one life to live.
And none of us desire to live it with regret.
In the end, there’s so much that really doesn’t matter…. But also… there is SO much that really does!
When time has ticked it’s last, all it really comes down to is us and Jesus.
I so desperately want to live a life that earns the words, “well done my good and faithful servant.” (Matthew 25:21). We each have talents, gifts, treasures – that when placed in His hands with full surrender, can accomplish more than we could ever think or imagine. What mystery and beauty to see how and when God takes the little and multiplies it exponentially to impact the lives of others!
What we do matters!
The ripple effect that we can have in the ocean of His grace, has the power to change. And within us is the change this world desperately needs.
As we surrender our heart, mind, soul, and strength to God, He gives us the insight to His ways.
Philippians 2:13 says,“ God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him”.
I just want to please Him!
Don’t you?
I mean, there are other things that catch my attention and steal my focus at times, but ultimately, I want my life to please Him.
This all-consuming, beautiful, one life of mine is His.
What we place in His hands will never be wasted. He sees it all as worthy. When He – who created time – calls it to an end, not a single thread will be left hanging. He who started the plan in us, knows how it will finish.
“Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before His glorious presence without fault and with great joy – to the only God our Saviour be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen!” – Jude v24-25
