“So I kneel humbly in awe before the Father of our Lord Jesus, the Messiah, the perfect Father of every father and child in Heaven and on the Earth. And I pray that He would unveil within you the unlimited riches of His glory and favor until supernatural strength floods your innermost being with His divine might and explosive power. Then, by constantly using your faith, the life of Christ will be released deep inside you, and the resting place of His love will become the very source of root of your life.” – Ephesians 3:14-17 (TPT)
Paul’s words to the church in Ephesus are such an amazing reminder of the power of God’s love in us. I’ve meditated on these verses for almost a year and have read them in a number of different Bible translations. The love of Jesus that these verses refer to, talks of love that changes us. It’s not a ‘maybe thing’, but a ‘for sure thing’. Christ’s love for us is an all-consuming, never-ending, life-resuscitating, power-giving love. It’s impossible to fully comprehend, and it’s unquenchable.
As we surrender our lives through the leading of the Holy Spirit in us, desiring His ways and His purpose, He is faithful to actually reveal to us His mysterious plans that are designed specifically just for us. His love invades – reaching every corner of our lives. His love is active, calling us to a deeper pursuit of Himself. Every area of our life exposed to His love, as the source of what brings us the desire to change evermore into His likeness.
May we trust this love that desires to invade us. May our eyes be unveiled to the unlimited riches of His goodness, strength and power in us through His Spirit. May our faith grow as we journey with Him and believe His best for our lives. May the Spirit of Christ be so deep rooted in us that our lives are an expression of how wide, how long, how high and how deep His love is for us. May His love overflow through us and to everyone and everything that we encounter today.
