In God's Will

“We can be confident of this: that He hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases Him. And since we know He hears us when we make our requests, we also know that He will give us what we ask for.” – 1 John 5:14-15

When we pray in the will of God, we can be sure that He will not only answer but He will give us what we’ve asked for. This is when our heart delights in what He wants for us, and He therefore gives us the desires of our hearts. (ref. Psalm 37:4)

What are you asking Him for? Is it aligned with what please Him? What is in His will?

How do you know if it’s aligned with His will? We need to know Him: His character. His Truth. His Voice.

Then, anyone who asks, receives. Who seeks, finds. We get to ask Him for what we lack.

Do you lack wisdom? “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” – James 1:5

“Abba Father, thank You that You are a God so great that You mind the very details of our lives. That You seek for us to be in communion intimately, that You’d give us anything we’d ask for that’s aligned with Your best for us. Please work in us a hunger and thirst for Your Word. Write Your Truth on our hearts. Give us a hunger and thirst to know Your Spirit … that we would be awakened and in tune with His leading, so that we would move in rhythm with Your heart, God. Fill us with Your wisdom. Give us Your words and use our voices how You see fit, to draw those around us into Your presence and grace. In Jesus name, Amen!”
