Hidden in Christ

“Christ’s resurrection is your resurrection too. This is why we are to yearn for all that is above, for that’s where Christ sits enthroned at the place of all power, honor, and authority! Yes, feast on all the treasures of the heavenly realm and fill your thoughts with heavenly realities, and not with the distractions of the natural realm.

Your crucifixion with Christ has severed the tie to this life, and now your true life is hidden away in God in Christ. And as Christ Himself is seen for who He really is, who you really are will also be revealed, for you are now one with Him in His glory!” – Colossians 3:1-4 (TPT)

All because of Jesus, we are no longer who we used to be. Choosing to follow Him, means dying to self, daily, as we allow Him to lead us to the abundant life that He died for. He died so we could live… truly live. Living for what has eternal impact and value.

Our true life in Christ is revealed to us as we seek Him, and by His great love for us, He gives us:

Eyes to see how He sees.

Ears attuned to His Truth.

Thoughts that are fueled by His Word and His Spirit.

A heart that seeks what He desires.

A mouth that speaks by the authority we’ve been given in Him.

Hands and feet that spread His love to the entire world, and to serve Him wholeheartedly.

What a glorious and beautiful life we find hidden in Him!

“Lord, make me yearn for things above. Make me desire the treasures You have for me in the Heavenly realm. Fill my mind, will and emotions with that of Heavenly realties, and break me free from the desires of the flesh that focus on the natural realm. Give me full understanding of the plans and purpose that You’ve laid out for me - in my true life hidden in Christ. May Your Word and Your Spirit be at the center of my life, until the fullness of Your Glory is revealed to the entire world. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
