God's Purpose

"As the rain and the snow

come down from Heaven,

and do not return to it

without watering the earth

and making it bud and flourish,

so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,

so is my word that goes out from my mouth:

It will not return to me empty,

but will accomplish what I desire

and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

You will go out in joy

and be led forth in peace;

the mountains and hills

will burst into song before you,

and all the trees of the field

will clap their hands.

Instead of the thornbush will grow the juniper,

and instead of briers the myrtle will grow.

This will be for the Lord’s renown,

For an everlasting sign,

that will endure forever.”

- Isaiah 55:10-13 (NLT)

The Word of God will produce that which it was intended to. Cultivating our heart, soul, mind, and body to be firmly rooted on a firm foundation of Truth. The Word of God will accomplish its purpose… which is Salvation. For He is “not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” (ref. 2 Peter 3:9)

His plan is to save people. To transform people to His original design… working in each of us individually, and collectively as His chosen people to produce a beautiful Bride – His Church.

For because of His great love for us, those that believe and receive Him cannot help but change. When we choose to live for Him, His Word and His Spirit are the redemptive power that takes action in us. And as a result, our life-change will shout to the world around us of His great Glory and fame.

So what He’s spoken – His Truth - let us desire above all else.

What He’s producing in us, let us embrace with reverence; allowing Him to plant, water, uproot, and tend to the health of our entire being. What He’s speaking over us, let’s consume with joy and peace.
