God's Masterpiece

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” – Ephesians 2:10

When’s the last time you actually viewed yourself as a masterpiece? Is it something you struggle to believe?

You have been intricately woven together, fashioned by Almighty God, Who valued you enough to breathe breath into your lungs. (ref. Psalm 139:13). He formed you in His likeness. (ref. Genesis 1:27) Skillfully, He designed you for a purpose – every single one of us was crafted in such a way!

And yet, so often, how we view ourselves does not reflect how God created us. How would your life change, if you lived by the truth of how your Creator sees you? What would the implications be, of allowing the foundation of your identity to be who He says that you are?

Chosen.

Loved.

Seen.

Valued.

Purposeful.

There is nothing about God’s purpose for your life that is an accident or afterthought. Any pain or turmoil that has ventured into your life, was never part of His original design for you. His plans are good, and He redeems all things for His good and glory (ref. Romans 8:28).

It’s the Artist who defines their work of art – who show it’s vibrance and mood and details. Likewise, a work of art is meant to be viewed as the Artist intended.

Let’s be women who are determined to view ourselves as God sees us. Let’s not dare to see ourselves any less or any more than His intention. Doing so might just allow us to see through a completely different lens. Not clouded by our own perception, or inferiority or comparison with others. But maybe we could see ourselves set a part… a Holy creation for His good purpose and glory. A daughter of the King of Kings. (ref. Ephesians 1:4-5)

His masterpiece.
