“Praise the Lord!
Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heaven!
Praise him for his mighty works; praise his unequaled greatness!
Praise him with a blast of the ram’s horn; praise him with the lyre and harp!
Praise him with the tambourine and dancing; praise him with strings and flutes!
Praise him with a clash of cymbals; praise him with loud clanging cymbals.
Let everything that breathes sing praises to the Lord!
Praise the Lord!” – Psalm 150
I’m not sure that the message could be any clearer – the writer of the Psalm was calling all people to praise the Lord!
While the journey of a Jesus follower has many mountains and valleys, filled with blessings, joy, obstacles and pain, each step we take we’re never alone. God goes with us through all of it… the highs and the lows. He’s always our constant. He deserves the praise every step of the way… on the highest mountaintop experience, and the lowest darkest valley as well. The very breath we breathe is deserving enough to bring Him praise, let alone the gift of grace that comes from Christ’s death and resurrection.
Let’s use every bit of our breath to exalt Him with our praises today. It’s a new day, with fresh opportunity to experience God’s goodness, grace and mercy. With all that we are, and all that we have, let’s praise Him for Who He is and all that He’s done for us! Amen?
“Let everything that breathes sing praises to the Lord!”
