“My heart is confident, God, my heart is confident.
I will sing; I will sing praises.
Wake up, my soul!
Wake up, harp and lyre!
I will wake up the dawn.
I will praise you, Lord, among the peoples;
I will sing praises to you among the nations.
For your faithful love is as high as the Heavens;
Your faithfulness reaches the clouds.
God, be exalted above the Heavens;
Let your glory be over the whole earth.” – Psalm 57:7-11 (CSV)
What is your heart confident of?
Are you confident in your faith in God? That He is who He says He is, and that He’ll do exactly what He said He’ll do…
When our confidence is rooted in God’s love for us and His faithfulness to be true to His Word, we can’t help but praise Him! Whatever circumstance we find ourselves in, if our heart is set on things of God, then we can trust that whatever it is we’re walking through He will be with us and guide us through it. He’s faithful in all circumstances.
So wherever you find yourself today. Whether you’re struggling through a heavy season, or life seems to be going pretty well right now, may we take some time to reflect on the status of our heart.
What am I putting my confidence in?
Who am I putting my confidence in?
Where is my hope rooted? Has it shifted at all from what is True, what is Holy, what is of God?
Let’s get in alignment with the One True God. Let’s choose to trust Him with today. With our circumstance. With the unknowns. With our heart. Let’s place our confidence in Him. And let’s praise Him for all that He’s done for us, continues to do in us, and promises to do through us. Amen? Amen!
