Chosen to...

“But you are my witness!” says the Lord.

“You are my servant.

You have been chosen to know me, believe in me,

And understand that I alone am God.

There is no other God –

There never has been, and there never will be.

I, yes I, am the Lord,

And there is no other Saviour.

First I predicted your rescue,

Then I saved you and proclaimed it to the world.

No foreign god has ever done this.

You are witnesses that I am the only God,” says the Lord.

“From eternity to eternity I am God.

No one can snatch anyone out of my hand.

No one can undo what I have done.” – Isaiah 43:10-13 (NLT)

Do you truly believe that you’ve been chosen?

It’s pretty mind-blowing thinking that the God of all creation chose us. He designed us intricately and formed us to be a one-of-a-kind creation. He orchestrated a plan to continually make Himself known to us, and He lovingly pursues us, because He loves us!

We’re chosen to know God.

Not as a far-away, “hey thank you for creating me, but I’ll just go about doing my own thing on planet earth here, while You do Your own thing in heaven”, I know of God, type mentality.

We’re chosen to actually know Him. Like, really know Him!

We’re chosen to believe Him.

Believe that Who He says He is, He is.

Believe His Words are Truth. That out of His great love for us, He sent His one and only Son, Jesus, to save us. Believe that His Spirit would live in us, and guide us, and lead us into freedom, holiness, and purpose.

We’re chosen to witness for Him.

Our lives matter on a far greater level than I think we could ever fully understand. God chose us, not only because He loves us, but also because He believes in us. He believes, that despite all of what we may see as flaws in ourselves, that He can show up in a mighty way - personally and intimately and allow His Spirit to do miraculous works in and through us. He chose us because He knew that when we trust Him with our day-to-day lives, that we would be the perfect witnesses to share with others that He is God above all.

We’re chosen to be His!
