Blessed is she...

“Blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what had been spoken to her by the Lord.” – Luke 1:45 (NASB)

Waiting. It can be so hard.

Waiting can produce an ache deep in the soul - when we desire something so desperately but have yet to see it fulfilled. Especially when the desire in us is for something truly good. When we know it would greatly impact us, our family, and those around us in a positive way. And when God has spoken a promise or destiny over us, our hearts fill with expectation…but we can become oh so weary in the waiting.

I want to remind you today, that God sees you. He hasn’t forgotten about you – you’re His beloved daughter. He hasn’t abandoned the promises He’s made to you. His promises are perfectly timed and orchestrated. Which isn’t always easy to believe when we don’t agree with His timing.

Do you still believe that God can be trusted in the waiting?

God is Faithful in fulfilling all that He has promised. He can be trusted. So many stories throughout Scripture point to promises that God made, and He always came through for each of them. One of the greatest promises, was of the long-awaited Messiah to come. Jesus did indeed come, and fulfilled so many promises with His birth, life, death and resurrection. God is devoted to accomplishing all that He has said that He would.

If you’re in a season of waiting, let your prayers be offered to God as a living sacrifice. Let your faith in Him speak testimony as you wait for Him to fulfill what He said He’d do. Let the ache in your soul sing a song of praise as you choose to trust Him each day. Let your tears be an offering before Him, as you pour out your desires, but trust that His ways and His timing are best.

Blessed is she…

… who wouldn’t stop believing.

… who knew she wasn’t forgotten.

… who trusted in God’s timing.

… who waited for God’s promise to be fulfilled.
