Birthright Promise

“So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God by believing in Christ. This is because all of you who were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. You have put Him on as if He were your clothes. There is no Jew or Gentile. There is no slave or free person. There is no male or female. That’s because you are all one in Christ Jesus. You who belong to Christ are Abraham’s seed. So you will receive what God has promised.” – Galatians 3:26-29 (NIRV)

As if Jesus wasn’t enough, we have a birthright that has been promised to us – inherited through Jesus Himself, as He offers us the title of “co-heir” with Himself. What He has, and Who He is, He desires to share with each of us… not holding anything back for Himself. A birthright we have not earned, or could we earn, but only through His grace we receive it freely by faith. Eternity with Him, His glory - complete wholeness in communion with Him.

By faith, for those who are followers of Jesus, we’ve already received the down payment of the Holy Spirit. (ref. Galatians 3:14) By faith the works of the Holy Spirit are manifested in us, through us and upon us. A birthright promise that becomes active the moment we receive Jesus as Saviour. Faith is the prerequisite of our birthright promise. One that will never perish, spoil or fade. (ref. 1Peter 1:4)

Today, as you ponder the birthright promise that we have been grafted into, may you receive this prayer over yourself – that the words would fall upon you as a declaration until you see the evidence of them manifest in your life.

“I pray that the Father of glory, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, would impart to you the riches of the Spirit of wisdom and the Spirit of revelation to know Him through your deepening intimacy with Him.

I pray that the light of God will illuminate the eyes of your imagination, flooding you with light, until you experience the full revelation of the hope of His calling – that is, the wealth of God’s glorious inheritances that He finds in us, His holy ones!

I pray that you will continually experience the immeasurable greatness of God’s power made available to you through faith. Then your lives will be an advertisement of this immense power as it works through you! This is the mighty power that was released when God raised Christ from the dead and exalted Him to the place of highest honor and supreme authority in the Heavenly realm!” – Ephesians 1:17-20 (TPT)

Amen!
