Bigger Yet

“I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for Me?” – Jeremiah 32:27 (TLB)

When we consider how small we are in proportion to the grand scheme of all of creation, we can really start to feel miniscule in comparison. Why is it that we can be so easily deceived into thinking that we know just how our lives should be orchestrated? Like we somehow play god over our own lives, as though we understand what is best for ourselves.

The Lord our God, who created all things, both seen and unseen, is bigger than we could ever imagine. More powerful than we can comprehend. Magnificent beyond measure. The expanse of His capabilities He alone knows. He is the One True God. God above all. Set apart with nothing and no one comparable.

Our dependence on God makes logical sense when we stop to actually think about it. On paper it seems simple really, that creation should have full dependence on the One Who created them. That an All-Knowing, All-Powerful, Omnipotent Creator has the best plan for His creation. I can’t seem to wrap my brain around the concept that a Creator would make His creation to outgrow Him in power, strength, knowledge, wisdom - that we wouldn’t need Him, or that we’ve been left to figure this life all out by ourselves.

If we believe that God is who He says He is… He should be the first One we go to with every single problem. Desiring to share our excitement, our thoughts, our passions with Him first above anyone else. There is no problem in our lives that God cannot solve, that He can’t redeem, that He can’t walk us through. He is God and we are not!

“Is anything too hard for Me?”

Our God restores…

Heals.

Mends.

Forgives.

Conquers.

Defeats.

Moves… and so much more!

Our God is so Strong and Mighty… if we could grasp a glimpse of how much He is for us, maybe He would be the first One we would run to each day. He is bigger than any giant we’re facing… bigger yet than all of them combined.

Let’s lift our hands to the Heavens today and declare that our God is bigger than any valley we could walk though. Declare that we believe that there is nothing too hard for Him to walk us through or redeem. Let’s choose today to turn to Him first. Let’s praise Him with a heart surrendered to trust Him with where He’s leading us.
