Back to Basics

It’s so easy to let outside voices in. To listen to what others say you should do. How you should be. What you should look like, and how you should act. Our world is constantly on the frenzy of promoting something to influence our mindset. While some of it may be a great influence on us, others are just plain garbage and can blind us into thinking negatively about ourselves.

There’s good news though. Blindness can be overcome when our ears are tuned into Truth. Honestly, sometimes I think we just need to get back to basics.

Who am I?

I am known – even before I was born. (Jeremiah 1:5)

I am seen. (Genesis 16:13)

I am loved. (John 3:16)

I am remembered. (Psalm 105:8)

I am a child of God. (1 John 3:1)

I am completely forgiven. (1 John 1:9)

I am a masterpiece. (Ephesians 2:10)

I am unashamed. (Romans 8:1)

I am secure. (John 10:28-29)

I am redeemed. (Isaiah 43:1)

I am fearless. (Isaiah 43:5)

I am strong. (1 John 2:14)

I am free. (John 8:32)

I am not shaken. (Psalm 62:6)

I am chosen. (Ephesians 1:4)

I am mighty in His power. (Ephesians 6:10)

I am Christ’s ambassador. (2 Corinthians 5:20)

I am the salt and the light in the world. (Matthew 5:13-14)

If we don’t know what God says about us, we’ll believe the lies of the world.

Who are you?

What ‘I am’ statements do you need to affirm today?
